Investor Aftercare

Uganda Investment Authority provides aftercare services to investors.  The services include policy advocacy, acquiring secondary licenses, Investment monitoring, arbitration & dispute resolution among others. UIA also runs the Annual Investor of the Year Awards to recognise and reward outstanding investment projects.

Investment Monitoring

After a company has been issued with an investment license, Uganda Investment Authority will visit the project periodically to assess the project status and note any constraints the project is facing. 

Policy Advocacy

Uganda Investment Authority is mandated with ensuring a conducive investment climate for investors. UIA is involved in various sector specific policy advocacy & reform groups.

UIA also runs the Presidential Investors’ Round Table (PIRT) chaired by H.E the President of Uganda. The PIRT is a high level forum that brings together a select group of both foreign and local investors to advise Government on how to improve the investment climate in the country.

The PIRT is used as a vehicle for Public Private Dialogue. The work of PIRT also helps development partners especially World Bank’s private sector development and investment climate programmes.

Investor of the Year Awards

The Investor of the Year (INOY) Awards gala is an annual event organised by the Uganda Investment Authority to recognises investors that have successfully implemented and commissioned licensed operational business  projects  within a given time period.
