Second Uganda-European Union Business Forum 2022

The European Union Delegation in Kampala, in close collaboration with the Sustainable Business for Uganda (SB4U) Platform, Government of Uganda, Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) and the Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU), are organising the Second Uganda-EU Business Forum slated for October 26 – 27, 2022, at Speke Resort Munyonyo, Kampala.

The theme of the Business Forum is “Mobilizing Quality Investments and Enhancing Trade between Uganda and the European Union”.

The main objective of the Business Forum is to promote investment opportunities in priority sectors of the economy to locals, Ugandan Diaspora and European investors.

The Business Forum is an ideal platform for Ugandan entrepreneurs to meet and network with potential investors from the 27 countries of the European Union, with banks and non-bank financial institutions, fund managers, angel investors, development partners and donor agencies, and potential investors from major trading partners of Uganda.

The Chief Guest at the Business Forum is expected to be the President of the Republic of Uganda, H. E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

The second edition of the business forum will be a hybrid version with both physical presences and virtual participation using a robust online conferencing platform.

Call for Investment Projects & Pitching Sessions

In the run up to the business forum, 100 bankable private sector projects will be selected to be showcased at the Business Forum to build stronger and lasting relationships between Ugandan and European investors and entrepreneurs.

Selected entrepreneurs and promoters of bankable projects will have the opportunity to meet investors and financiers who will be present at the Business Forum as well as hold online meetings with virtual participants.

Dedicated pitching sessions will be organized in the framework of the Business Forum to allow promoters to present their projects.

The Sustainable Business for Uganda Platform (SB4U), in partnership with the Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) Uganda Export Promotions Board (UEPB) and the Uganda Green Enterprise Finance Accelerator (UGEFA), will provide dedicated support mechanism to help you setup and showcase your project, negotiate effectively, and finalize a win – win partnership.

Upon demand, customized business development support from expert business advisers will be provided.
