Distribution of CSR materials in the KIBP Suburbs

As a means of giving back to the community around Kampala Industrial and Business Park, UIA came up with an annual Corporate Social Responsibility drive that targets the communities of Kiwanga, Nantabulirwa, Kileku and Kolo all situated in the outskirts of Kampala Industrial and Business Park.  This year, some investors contributed to this call e.g. Tian Tang group that offered 30 mattresses and Sino Watson that offered 50 school bags with pencil sets.

On 12th and 13th October 2016, Sarah Nassimbwa, UIA’s social scientist and community LC 1s identified widowed and needy families in their different communities who received different items in kind that included mattresses, school bags, pencil sets, shoes, mosquito nets, blankets and clothes.  A total of 19 families, 48 children, 13 widows, 2 disabled parents and 13 students from St. Peters primary school Kolo received the earlier mentioned items.

The residents of in these communities appreciated UIA staff for their generosity and encouraged other government entities to do the same for the needy communities.
