Kampala, UGANDA: Small and Medium firms in Uganda should expect more support from the Uganda Investment Authority.

“Apart from supporting the Top 100 firms that compete for various awards for their performance, UIA is to avail more work spaces in the new industrial parks of Soroti, Jinja and Kasese,”.

This was revealed by the UIA Acting Director General Mr. Lawrence Byensi at a dinner gala held at hotel Africana during which several small and medium firms were awarded.

Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Dr. Elioda Tumwesigye advised SMES they can only develop further if they are innovative.

“As government is developing the manufacturing on vehicles in Uganda, SMEs can take advantage by making spare parts like oil filters,”.

More details of the winners will come later on this site.
