The Authority has embarked on a series of trainings in order to enhance investment promotion, facilitation and aftercare services. This comes at a time when investors are looking to find investment opportunities as well as the requisite support services they need during their investment journey.
Speaking at a two-day Sector Deep Dive Profiling workshop, Mrs Sheila K. Mugyenzi, UIA’s Director for Investment Promotion and Business Development said, “As the Authority, we need to think like the investors that we serve. This starts with us understanding exactly what the investors are interested in investing in to how we will package and distribute these opportunties to advocating for positive business environments to improve the sectors being invested in. Ultimately, we need to improve the livelihood of our investors.”
Mr Peter Muramira, UIA’s Deputy Director Business Development added,” The Authority’s in the investor journey cannot be overemphasized. We are the engine behind positioning Uganda as the preferred investment destination in Africa. We are critical to ensuring that Uganda is globally recognized as competitive and profitable for business and investment.
