Chair Rwakakamba, Uganda Baati engage on investment policies on construction sector

The Chairman of Uganda Investment Authority, Morrison Rwakakamba, has today held an engagement meeting with the directors and managers of Uganda Baati, one of Uganda’s leading metal roofing manufacturers in Uganda.

The engagement meeting focused discussions on the crucial relationship between existing investment policies and their direct impact on the steel/construction industry.

Chairman Rwakakamba, hailed Uganda Baati for operating since 1964, creating jobs, imparting skills, contributing to import substitution and transforming the construction sector.

He said the feedback he got would help in improving the business and investment climate, particularly for the construction sector.

The Chief Executive Officer of Uganda Baati, George Arodi, said together, they gained valuable insights into how the investment policies can either drive or hinder the investment outlook of the Ugandan economy.

“By recognizing the critical role that investment policies play in shaping the business landscape, we are better equipped to strategically craft solutions that will foster growth, encourage innovation, and ultimately contribute to the overall success of both Uganda Baati and the broader business community and sector as a whole”, added Arodi.

The meeting agreed that moving forward, the parties would build upon the discussions and translate them into concrete actions that will expedite the growth and prosperity of the construction industry.

“By working together, we will ensure a brighter future for all stakeholders involved”, said Arodi.
