On May 5, 2023, Uganda Investment Authority, in concert with Uganda Development Bank, Post Bank Uganda and and Light for Africa Foundation, organised the inaugural Northern Uganda Women-in-Business Summit in Arua City, West Nile sub-region.
The Summit attracted women entrepreneurs and investors from northern region. The chief guest was the Chair of Simba Group of Companies, Patrick Bitature, who, using testimony, inspired the participants to do their level best in propelling their businesses while seizing vast business and investment opportunities that northern Uganda provides. Several women, including the State Minister of Finance (Privatisation and Investment), Hon. Evelyn Anite, shared their business and investment experiences.
