Despite disruption like by the Covid pandemic, a Ugandan firm is solidifying its export of fresh foods to the United States market.
Kata Fresh Foods Ltd exports premium quality frozen maize, matooke (green bananas), and beans to Canada.
The firm is being incubated by CURAD – the Consortium for Enhancing University Responsiveness to Agribusiness Development Ltd.
CURAD is based at the Kampala Industrial and Business Park operated by Uganda investment Authority.
